WIRELESS PROXIMITY SENSOR SYSTEM AND WIRELESS PROXIMITY SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the consumption of a main power supply by a battery which supplies power to the sensor portion of a wireless proximity sensor, and to prolong the life time as the result. SOLUTION: A wireless proximity sensor 1 includes: a wireless proximity sensor 11 equipped with a sensor portion 27 which outputs a proximity signal when detecting a detecting object, and a sensor-side wireless portion 25 which wireless-transmits the proximity signal inputted from the sensor portion 27; and a controller-side wireless portion 5 which receives the proximity signal wireless-transmitted from the sensor side wireless portion 25 of the wireless proximity sensor 11, wherein at object detection, the sensor portion 27 is battery-driven using the battery as a main power supply, and in a standby state due to absence of detecting objects, the detection output of an AM receiving detecting portion 24 is used as an auxiliary power supply which supplies power to the sensor portion 27 in place of the main power supply.
