DISK DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device in which collision of a disk and an objective lens can be prevented when loading and unloading of a disk are performed. SOLUTION: The disk device has a turntable holding the disk and rotating it, a disk transporting mechanism transporting the disk inserted from an insertion slot to the prescribed position in the device body and loading the disk to the turntable, and the objective lens opposing to the disk loaded to the turntable, the device further includes an optical pickup having an objective lens actuator controlling distance between the objective lens and the disk, and a control means driving and controlling the objective lens actuator. The control means drives the objective lens actuator during transportation operation of the disk by the disk transporting mechanism, and moves the objective lens in the direction of separating from the disk and holds the objective lens.
