Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing structure and a fixing method for an optical element which can securely cure columnar resins for adhering fixation, and also includes stable characteristics, to provide a laser beam scanner, and to provide an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The laser beam scanner includes; a laser diode 20; a collimator lens 21 shaping a beam radiated from the laser diode 20; a holder 26 holding the laser diode 20; and a base material 30 fixed with the holder 26 and the collimator 21. The holder 26 is inserted to the optical axis direction in a projecting piece 31 provided at the base material 30, photocuring type columnar resins 35 are arranged at gaps T, T', and the columnar resins 35 are simultaneously cured.
