Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buoyancy type magnetic azimuth detection element that miniaturizes an annular bobbin and has exciting winding. SOLUTION: Liquid 13 occupying substantially a half of annular space is filled into the non-magnetic annular bobbin 11 having the space, a necessary buoyancy is provided on the liquid level of the liquid 13, and an annular core 12 is stored and floated in an annular core case 16. A flexible printed board (flexible board) 14 having a conductor pattern is wound on the outer periphery of the annular bobbin 11 and is connected, thereby forming an exciting winding. Two detection windings 23 that wrap the flexible board 14 and are orthogonal in the radial direction of the annular bobbin 11 are made to pass through the center of the annular bobbin, made to cross each other, and wound. A connection terminal section 14-1 and a connection section 14-2 of the flexible board 14 are interconnected so as to constitute a coil on a connection plate 32 installed along a sidewall of the annular bobbin after a conductor pattern section 14-3 is wound on the annular bobbin 11, and the terminal end of the coil is connected to a lead wire 22 by an input/output pin 33.
