Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding stud suitable for an automatic and semiautomatic screw fastening process, and highly reliably guaranteeing correct screwing-in of a thread. SOLUTION: This welding stud 1 includes a head designed as a welding end part 2, and a shank having a cylindrical basic shape of threading a spiral male screw 3. An end part area of the shank existing on the opposite side of the head includes at least two inclined faces having an inclination such as reducing a distance from the stud axis toward the end part of the shank.
