Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal bond grinding wheel having a long service life and superior dressing property and capable of sustaining a low grinding resistance state since its sharpness is excellent during grinding. SOLUTION: This metal bond grinding wheel 5 contains, in a metal bond 2, diamond abrasive grains 1 as an example of abrasive grains. The metal bond 2 comprises an intermetallic compound 3 of silver-tin alloy and metal particles 4. The intermetallic compound 3 of the silver-tin alloy encloses the diamond abrasive grains 1 and alloy particles 4. The gaps between the particles of the metal bond grinding wheel 5 are filled with the metal bond. The metal bond 2 has the composition of 35-45 mass% tin, 15-25 mass% silver, and residual copper.
