HANDS-FREE APPARATUS AND INCOMING CALL RESPONSE METHOD IN THE HANDS-FREE APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hands-free apparatus and incoming call response method that will not become a hamper to vehicle driving. SOLUTION: When a mobile phone 18 is detected to be connected to a telephone set connecting device 13 and that an on-vehicle microphone is detected not to be connected to a microphone connecting device 10, a control device 2 of an on-vehicle apparatus 1 disables a telephone call from being originated under a hands-free mode and enables only an incoming call to be handled. When telephone call incoming from the outside to the mobile phone 18 is detected, a telephone number list stored in a controller 19 of the mobile phone 18 is retrieved. When a call-originating side telephone number is contained in the telephone number list, a message is transmitted to a call-originating side via the mobile phone 18 and that it is not possible to respond to the incoming call is notified.
