DOOR STOP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door stop which is excellent in design quality, proof against infiltration of dust, and easy and smooth to handle. SOLUTION: The door stop is formed of a door stop the body 2 arranged on a door D and provided with a magnet 1, and an engaging tool body 4 having a stopper piece 3 swingably arranged on a floor in a manner protruding from/withdrawing to a floor surface F. When the door D is located at a predetermined location, the door stopper protrudes the stopper piece 3 from the floor surface F by a sucking action of the magnet 1 to abut the same on the door stop body 2, and prevents the door from further opening. The door stop body 2 includes: an engaging piece 5 detachably engaging with the stopper piece 3 due to vertical swing; a cover body 6 sheathing the door stop body 2 in a vertically movable manner; an operating piece 7 for operating the engaging piece 5 by the vertical movement of the cover body 6; and a knocking mechanism 8 for selectively holding the cover body 6 to a depressed position and an elevated position by squeezing.
