PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device which can reduce compressing force applied to a key plate, and contributes to slimming of the key plate. SOLUTION: A case 10 of the lock device 6 has arranged therein an operating body storage portion 11 which opens in one side surface 10a thereof. The operating body storage portion 11 supports therein an operating body 20 having a keyhole 23 into which the key plate 5 is to be inserted, in a manner rotatable about a rotating shaft 22 extending along a design surface 3b of a vehicular door 3a.
