Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set up an oil level suitable to each of crankshaft and a wet centrifugal clutch, and to secure the rigidity of a crank case. SOLUTION: A power unit includes a crank case; a V-belt type stepless transmission structured with a drive pulley shaft installed coaxially with or parallel to a crankshaft and a driven pulley shaft installed parallel to the crankshaft; a transmission case, which accommodates the V-belt type stepless transmission at one side of the crank case; a power unit output shaft, which transmits the output of an internal combustion engine to the drive wheels of a vehicle via power transmission means at the other side of the crank case: and the wet centrifugal clutch, which is arranged at one side of the crank case and transmits the power of the driven pulley shaft to the power unit output shaft intermittently. The crankshaft is mounted on the vehicle so as to face the vehicle width direction. A centrifugal clutch chamber accommodating the wet centrifugal clutch is arranged outside the crank case, and the outside in the vehicle width direction of the centrifugal chamber is closed by the transmission case.
