TARGET TRACKING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target tracking device performing a tracking process with high accuracy even if there are a plurality of objects in a color similar to that of a tracking object. SOLUTION: The target tracking device 100 for tracking a target object in image data which is consecutively taken in includes: a tracking target specification accepting part 150 for accepting the specification of the tracking target in the image data; a target color setting part 160 for setting the color in the image data related to the specification as a target color; and a particle filter processing part 130 which measures the likelihood found by comparing the color in the vicinity of a particle to the target color using the particle moving in the image data according to a predetermined rule, compensates the measured likelihood for each particle by the likelihood found by comparing the color in a region determined based on the specified auxiliary region to an auxiliary target color, and estimates the region of the target object in the image data, based on the compensated likelihood.
