Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk device which reduces the time in which a head cannot access a sector when a recording plane of a disk has a defect. SOLUTION: A data sector adjacent to a primary defect relating to a plurality of tracks is defined as a head data sector of each track. When a data sector including the primary defect is detected during continuous access to a disk, the data sector is skipped, while movement of the head is completed during defect skip processing by moving the head to the head data sector of the adjacent track, then, a transfer rate can be increased.
