Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a reforming reactor and a reforming method of a waste cooking oil firstly in which the waste cooking oil is capable of converting directly and immediately to a fuel and secondly which are excellent in investment cost, handling cost, running cost, maintenance cost, and other various costs. SOLUTION: In this reforming reactor 2 and the reforming method, a waste cooking oil 1 is vaporized and mixed with steam 7 and heated air 8, and is reacted with the steam 7 and the heated air 8 as oxidizing agents under heating at a high temperature. Accordingly the waste cooking oil 1 is reformed to a product gas containing carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, hydrocarbons such as methane, ethylene or the like as main components. The reforming is conducted under heating at a high temperature of 600°C or higher for example about 800°C and in the presence of a catalyst 13. And further the ratio of carbon in the waste cooking oil 1 to the steam 7, the ratio of carbon in the waste cooking oil 1 to the oxygen in the air 8, and the space velocity between the waste cooking oil 1 and the catalyst 13, or the like are effected using respective condition setting and mutual relations as guides.
