GAS GENERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator having a dual structure and capable of making a time required from the ignition of an ignitor to the exhaustion of gas to the outside of the gas generator shorter than a conventional gas generator when the gas generators have the same sizes. SOLUTION: This gas generator is provided with a first cylindrical filter 11 provided along the inner periphery of a housing 6 to oppose a first combustion chamber 9 in the axial direction of the housing 6 and surround the ignitor 2 held in a first holder 3 in the housing 6, a second cylindrical filter 12 provided along the inner periphery of the housing 6 to oppose a second combustion chamber 10 in the axial direction of the housing 6 and surround an ignitor 4 held in a second holder 5 in the housing 6, a first partitioning member 13 provided between the first filter 11 and the ignitor 2 held in the first holder 3, and a second partitioning member 14 provided between the second filter 12 and the ignitor 4 held in the second holder 5.
