IMAGING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct fixed pattern noise accurately at all the time. SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging device 2 including a light-shielded pixel region that is optically light-shielded, and an effective pixel region that is not light-shielded; a first detection section for detecting first fixed pattern noise generated within the imaging device from a video signal output from the light-shielded pixel region; a first correction section 6 for calculating a first correction value based on the first fixed pattern noise detected by the first detection section and correcting a video signal output from the effective pixel region; a second detection section 7 for detecting a second fixed pattern noise generated within the imaging device from the video signal corrected by the first correction section; and a second correction section 9 for calculating a second correction value based on the second fixed pattern noise detected by the second detection section and correcting the video signal of the effective pixel region.
