Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic capacitor having an anodized anode in which an additional metal element is included. SOLUTION: Specifically, the metal element is included in valve action metal pentoxide of a dielectric layer. In one specific embodiment, addition of the metal element provides a niobium pentoxide dielectric containing a closest filling unit of metal atoms (A) functioning as an O atom, Nb6octahedral and paired cations. Use of relatively small positive atoms (A'') is useful to fill tetrahedral (for example, Al, Si, Ti, Mg or Mn), octahedral (for example, Nb, V, Mg or Mn) and triangular dipyramid (for example, V or Nb) gaps in a crystal structure.
