PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for electronic approval, enabling a reduced maintenance work of a user management DB, even when personnel changes etc. are carried out. SOLUTION: A user management DB unit 2 includes a user DB 22 storing information related to the users. In response to a request from a user PC unit 1, authentication of the user is performed by reference to information stored in the user DB 22. When the authentication is confirmed, user information is transmitted to the user PC unit 1. The user PC unit 1 requests the user management DB unit 2 to authenticate the user, and receives the user information when the authentication is confirmed by the user management DB unit 2. Then, using the received user information, the user PC unit 1 generates impress information of a target file, so as to store it into an impress information file 13 as impress history. Accordingly, the user management DB unit 2 does not require to perform history management etc., and can be used as the user management DB without modifying a field structure etc. of the existing personnel DB.
