Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color material recording device reducing the non-data area of a recording medium, and also to provide a color material recording program, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: When a printing instruction of a nozzle check pattern 92 is inputted (Yes in step 200), the nozzle check patterns 92 of colors except an exceptive color are superimposed to print on the non-image area 91 of the recording medium P (steps 206, 208, 212 and 214), when the exceptive color is present (Yes in step 202), and the nozzle check patterns 92 of all colors (Yes in step 210), or of a set of two colors each (No in step 210) are superimposed to print on the non-image area 91 of the recording medium P (steps 206, 208, 212 and 214), when the exceptive color is not present.
