PROTECTIVE COVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover enhanced in a degree of sealing in the cover, stability in cutting, securing of work visual field and cutting tool replacing workability. SOLUTION: This protective cover 1 protects a cutter 11 mounted on a rotary shaft 10A of a grinder 1. The protective cover 1 has a base plate 3 located on a base end side of the rotary shaft 10A to be opposed to one surface of the cutter 11, a first cover sidewall 41 located on a tip side of the rotary shaft 10A to be opposed to the other surface of the cutter 11, and a protective part 2 located to be opposed to an outer peripheral part of the cutter 11 and provided with first cover peripheral wall 42 and second cover peripheral wall 52 for connecting the base plate 3 and the first cover sidewall 41. The first cover sidewall 41, the first cover peripheral wall 42 and the second cover peripheral wall 52 are rotatably supported by the base plate 3 and are movable between a protection position for covering the cutter 11 and a replacement position for exposing the cutter 11.
