INFORMATION PROCESSING UNIT AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing unit capable of controlling throughput of rendering which draws an image while synthesizing a plurality of images according to respective situations when reproducing a moving image in which an image of each frame is formed by synthesizing a plurality of images. SOLUTION: A renderer 1515 of an HD DVD player application program 151 which reproduces AV contents of HD DVD Video specifications measures time required for composite processing of a plurality of image data by a composite part 1515a and output processing of composite image data by a presenting part 1515b. The renderer monitors whether or not the measured value exceeds a predetermined value, and when it exceeds the predetermined value, the renderer reduces a frame rate on composite processing of the moving image data gradually by reducing the number of frames to be processed per unit time.
