Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-mounting square power storage cell which is downsized and increased in capacity and can endure high-temperature reflow in surface mounting, by solving a problem wherein downsizing and increase of capacity are difficult because loss of a mounting area is large, with respect to a surface-mounting coin-type power storage cell to be used for a portable apparatus and the like. SOLUTION: By a structure wherein a square power storage element 21, open ends 14a and 15a of square frame-like metal cases 14 and 15 for housing the power storage element 21, and fitting engagement parts of recessed parts of insulating gaskets 16 are jointed to one another by sealing resins 20, and an armoring resin 19 is applied to the whole to expose partial parts of positive and negative terminal plates 17 and 18 to an outer surface as mounting connection terminals, loss of a mounting area is reduced, and downsizing and increase of capacity can be achieved.
