OVERFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE, OVERFLOW PREVENTION METHOD, AND POOL RECONSTRUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a conventional device for preventing overflow stream of a fuel storage pool inhibits visibility and workability in a pool. SOLUTION: A plurality of rails 1 are disposed at constant intervals on a sidewall 11 of a fuel storage pool 10, and overflow preventing plates 2 formed of a ponding plate 3 and a float 4 are arranged between the plurality of rails 1, thereby forming this overflow prevention device 60. A part of the float 4 is above the water surface. When water level is raised locally by sloshing, the float 4 above the water surface goes under the water, the buoyancy of the overflow preventing plates 2 increases, and the overflow preventing plates project upwardly slidably along the rails 1 and function as a dam for preventing the overflow.
