SHIFT CHANGE-OVER DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift change-over device capable of appropriately responding to a shift range change-over request by a driver. SOLUTION: The shift change-over device is provided with a shift cover 33 having a guide groove 34 formed thereon to guide a shift lever 31 to a plurality of shift positions which are an R position, a D position, an N1 position and an N2 position and with a plurality of position sensors 46, 47, 48 provided corresponding to the shift positions excluding the N1 position, respectively. In the case where time when the shift lever 31 is not detected by any of the plurality of position sensors 46, 47, 48 exceeds N1 determination time, change-over to a neutral range is performed. In the case where time when the shift lever 31 is detected by the N position sensor 48 exceeds N2 determination time shorter than the N1 determination time, instant change-over to the neutral range is performed.
