Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel composition having an optimal ignition property as fuel for a premixed compressed ignition type engine, causing less dilution of engine oil, and having less harmful exhaust gas. SOLUTION: In the fuel composition for the premixed compressed ignition type engine, a sulfur content is ≤10 mass ppm, the temperature of 90 vol.% distillation is ≤300°C, a cetane number (CN) is 45 to 65, a research method octane number (RON) is ≥20, an aromatic fraction is ≤23 vol.%, and an aromatic fraction having ≥3 rings is ≤0.5 vol.%. The composition shows the exothermic onset temperature of ≤250°C in a high pressure differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and the peak value of its exothermic peak of ≥25 W/g.
