Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder wherein, even if the deflection of a signal cable is formed, the signal cable is prevented from being pinched between a carriage and a frame owing to the formed deflection. SOLUTION: The printer 10 is provided with a beltform flexible flat cable 61 for sending a signal to a recording head 20. In a specific point P of the flexible flat cable 61, a separation member 70 is provided which protrudes toward a base frame 15 from the flexible flat cable 61. With this separation member 70, an interval between the specific point P of the flexible flat cable 61 and the base frame 15, and one between the specific point P of the flexible flat cable 61 and a part of the base frame side from the curved portion 61C of the flexible flat cable 61 are kept longer than predetermined distances.
