Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for promoting morphology in a fungus, and a method for affecting or controlling morphology in a fungus to maximize productivity in culture. SOLUTION: Provided is a method for promoting morphology in a fungus, wherein the method comprises: preparing a recombinant polynucleotide sequence comprising the sequence of an antisense arrangement complementary to a gene coding region specifically expressed in a natural fungus exhibiting sediment morphology as compared to a natural fungus exhibiting a filamentous morphology; transforming Aspergillus niger by using the recombinant polynucleotide; intercepting translation by producing a sufficiently long transcription product hybridizable to a gene coding sequence transcription product by transcribing the sequence of antisense arrangement; inhibiting the expression of the gene coding region by using the transcription product formed by the expression of the recombinant polynucleotide; and promoting sediment morphology predictable by a fungus having a natural morphology on the basis of the inhibition.
