METHOD FOR PRODUCING MAGNETIC TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a magnetic toner whose performance is maintained even if being left under a severe environment, and which stably gives a high definition image over a long period even if being used under the severe environment as it is. SOLUTION: The method is for producing a magnetic toner in which the surface of a magnetic toner particle at least including a binding resin, a mold releasing agent and a magnetic substance is provided with inorganic fine powder. The magnetic toner particle is produced in a water base medium; the magnetic substance is composed of magnetic iron oxide; the magnetic iron oxide is produced by oxidizing ferrous hydroxide in water, and also is the one obtained by being subjected to surface treatment with a silane coupling agent or a titanium coupling agent without being subjected to a drying stage after the oxidation reaction.
