Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal device in which appearance is not messy and design of a pedal unit is not restricted, while reducing production cost. SOLUTION: An infrared ray transceiver section 20 including a transmitting section 201 and receiving section 202 is provided in a bottom section of a musical instrument body 10, and the pedal unit 30 having a reflective mirror 303 in which a reflective face is tilted according to pedal operation of a pedal operator 302, is arranged at a position faced to the infrared ray transceiver section 20. If pedal operation is not performed, since the reflective mirror 303 rightly faces the infrared transceiver section 20, the infrared ray transmitted from the transmitting section 201 is received with a prescribed level or more at the receiving section 202, and pedal input information that the musical instrument body section 10 shows a pedal-off state is generated. At the same time, if pedal operation is performed, the reflective mirror 303 is tilted and the infrared ray of the prescribed level or more cannot be received in the receiving section 202, and pedal input information that the musical instrument body section 10 side shows a pedal-on state is generated.
