Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely restrain accidental fire when a control device of an internal combustion engine is shifted from an external EGR execution condition to a deceleration condition. SOLUTION: This control device of an internal combustion engine comprises an EGR passage for connecting an EGR gas intake port and an EGR gas flow inlet 28, an airflow control valve 34 (distribution ratio variable means) for changing a distribution ratio to each cylinder of the EGR gas flowing from the EGR gas flow inlet 28 so that a relative difference in an EGR gas concentration between the respective cylinders occurs when the internal combustion engine is judged as being under a deceleration condition, and combustion stop means for continuing combustion in cylinders (#1 cylinder and #2 cylinder) whose EGR gas concentration is relatively low, and stopping combustion in cylinders (#3 cylinder and #4 cylinder) whose EGR gas concentration is relatively high.
