Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dummy bar winding apparatus, which can wind a dummy bar while maintaining normal speed control without switching a dummy bar winding motor control unit to torque control, without excessively pulling the dummy bar pulled by a pinch roll and without causing loosening, and to provide a method for controlling the same. SOLUTION: Torque is restricted depending upon a winding angle, and the speed drooping amount during dummy bar winding is calculated back from a torque limitation value and a speed control gain in the dummy bar winding motor control unit (10).
