STRAP WINDER FOR SAFETY BELT, AND SAFETY BELT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strap winder with a letting-out direction restricting mechanism for limiting the letting-out direction of a strap from the strap winder, and to provide a safety belt including the winder. SOLUTION: The winder 8 for the safety belt includes: a frame 12; a drum 16 rotatably attached to the frame 12; the strap 18 wound around the drum 16; and the strap letting-out direction restricting mechanism 19. The winder 8 is configured to rotate the drum 16 in one direction when the strap 18 is let out, and to rewind the strap 18 when the drum 16 is rotated in the other direction. When the winder 8 receives the force to let out the strap 18 downward, the strap letting-out direction restricting mechanism 19 prevents the rotation of the drum 16 so as to prevent the strap 18 from being let out.
