LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display in which an identification mark is given to each liquid crystal cell, thereby attaining high traceability. SOLUTION: A transparent film formed on a substrate is processed to a predetermined pattern 11 for liquid crystal display and patterns of two-dimensional bar codes 21, 22. The information represented by the two-dimensional codes 21, 22 may include manufacturing conditions. Thus, in the subsequent process to the patterning process, the two-dimensional bar codes 21, 22 are imaged, the manufacturing conditions are read from the obtained image, and the manufacturing process is performed according to the read manufacturing conditions, so that a mistake in setting the manufacturing conditions by a worker is reduced.
