PORTABLE PHOTOGRAPH BROWSING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable photograph browsing apparatus by which everyone can easily reproduce photographic data, that have been photographed, and which is provided with a monitor capable of obtaining a reproduced image sized sufficiently to be appreciated. SOLUTION: This photograph browsing apparatus comprises: a display section 2 for displaying an image thereon; a card reader section 3 for reading data from a memory card on which images are recorded; a signal processing section which processes signals for reading image data from the memory card and displaying the image data on the display section; a display control section that allows the display section to display thereon image data processed by the signal processing section; a card detection section for detecting the insertion of the memory card into the card reader section; and a control section which powers on the display section when the insertion of the memory card is detected by the card detection section while the display section is powered off, and displays image data, stored on the memory card, processed by the signal processing section on the display section in accordance with the display control section.
