PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal and a server which do not require time to acquire frequently accessed information, can acquire the frequently accessed information in the state where communications with a server is impossible and prevent information leakage from the terminal. SOLUTION: Information is stored not in the portable terminal 100, but in a mail server 200. Information which is required to be frequently accessed by a user of the portable terminal 100 is stored in the portable terminal 100. Each time the user makes an access to the stored information, it is required to acquire access permission to the stored information from the mail server 200. When the user does not acquire the access permission to the information stored in the portable terminal 100 from the mail server 200 for a certain period, the information stored in the portable terminal 100 is deleted.
