PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of performing disconnection of a drain electrode of a thin film transistor from a drain signal line and disconnection of a source electrode of the thin film transistor from a pixel electrode while avoiding damage of a gate signal line. SOLUTION: In the display device including a plurality of gate signal lines and a plurality of drain signal lines provided on a substrate, and a thin film transistor and a pixel electrode provided in each pixel area defined by the gate signal line and the drain signal line, the thin film transistor includes a semiconductor layer formed in a position overlapping with the gate signal line, the drain electrode connected to the drain signal line, and the source electrode connected to the pixel electrode. The drain electrode and the source electrode are drawn out over the side closer to the pixel electrode of respective longitudinal sides of the gate signal line. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
