Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sea-island type polyester conjugate fiber for producing an extra fine yarn that has a soft feel and an excellent deep color property and exhibits a firm feeling, a fine creaky feeling and a mild gloss feeling which a conventional extra fine yarn does not have. SOLUTION: The sea-island type polyester conjugate fiber includes a sea component polymer composed of a polyethylene terephthalate copolymerized with 1.5 mol% or more and 7.0 mol% or less of 5-sodium sulfoisophthalate, and an island component polymer composed of a polyethylene terephthalate containing 0.5 wt.% or more and 10.0 wt.% or less of colloidal silica, wherein the conjugate ratio of the sea component/island component is 10/90-50/50.
