Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous resin dispersion capable of serving as an aqueous coating agent excellent in adhesiveness to various old coating films, and having an aptitude as a top coating paint with water-proofness, alkali resistance and the like. SOLUTION: This aqueous resin dispersion contains a vinyl copolymer emulsion A having a neutralized carboxyl group, a glycidyl group containing compound B having no radical-polymerizable unsaturated bond, and a compound C having a hydrolyzable silyl group and/or a silanol group and an amino group, preferably 0.2-10 pts.wt. of the glycidyl group containing compound B having no radical-polymerizable unsaturated bond, and 0.1-10 pts.wt. of the compound C having the hydrolyzable silyl group and/or the silanol group and the amino group, with respect to 100 pts.wt. of resin solid content in the vinyl copolymer emulsion A having the neutralized carboxyl group.
