EARTHQUAKE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of a user by performing earthquake control operation by each elevator device 21 withstanding an earthquake before a main shock or an initial tremor reaches. SOLUTION: A monitoring center 22 monitors real-time vibration data of an acceleration sensor of a seismic sensor 6 sent from each elevator device 21 all the time. When the vibration data exceeds a predetermined value, the monitoring center regards the vibration data as P waves (initial tremor), calculates earthquake data such as an earthquake source and an earthquake magnitude, and sends instruction for earthquake control operation with respect to each elevator device which is expected to withstand a main shock at a predetermined level or higher.
