COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system which can improve operation efficiency for users. SOLUTION: A communication system connects one or more program distribution servers and one or more communication devices via a network. The communication device has a storage means for storing display performance information of a display means for its own terminal and information for a display frame of a program capture screen. When the communication device receives a display request of the program capture screen from a user, the communication device sends the display performance information and a request of obtaining screen layout information to the program distribution server. When the program distribution server receives the display performance information and the request of obtaining the screen layout information from the communication device, the program distribution server prepares list-display information of a distribution program on the basis of the received display performance information and sends it to the communication device. When the communication device receives the list-display information of the distribution program from the program distribution server, it combines the information for a display frame and the received list-display information with each other, to form an operation screen for obtaining a program and to display it.
