Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an onboard image processing apparatus emphasizing an important object in an image, in a reduced image and acquiring a reduced image with less distortion, and to provide an onboard image display apparatus for displaying the image. SOLUTION: An image of both rear sides of its own vehicle is acquired from a side/rear camera (S100), then velocity and a steering angle of the own vehicle are acquired (S105). Whether or not the own vehicle changes a cruising lane is determined based on the acquired velocity and the steering angle (S110) This image processing is repeated if there is no change (S110:No). If there is any change (S110:Yes), an image of the image energy of the image acquired in the step S100 is produced (S115). Then a Seam which connects portions where image energy is lower than a predetermined value is calculated, and the Seam other than the Seam satisfying a condition of not erasing is erased to produce a reduced image (S120).
