Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition for color filters, capable of achieving higher density and smaller film thickness of a filter segment and a black matrix (BM), and to provide a method for producing a color filter by a laser exposure method which allows miniaturization or elimination of a mask. SOLUTION: The colored composition for color filters includes a resin, a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond, a photopolymerization initiator and a pigment, wherein the concentration of the pigment in the total solid of the colored composition is 50-80 wt.%. In the method for producing a color filter, filter segments of at least two colors and a black matrix (BM) are formed, by repeating more than once a step of forming a colored coating film on a substrate using the colored composition; a step of curing a portion of the colored coating film serving as a filter segment or a BM by irradiating the portion with excimer laser light of 308 nm wavelength (XeCL) so that the integrated exposure energy is made 1-150 mJ/cm2; and a step of removing uncured portion of the colored coating film, to form a filter segment or a BM.
