CONTROL DEVICE OF AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost crime preventive device by utilizing an air conditioner normally used in a dwelling house, and to dissuade an intruder from intruding into the dwelling house, by giving the intruder the impression that the dweller stays inside the dwelling house. SOLUTION: A control device of the air conditioner comprises a timer control means 3 for controlling an operation of the air conditioner, an outing mode setting means 4 for setting whether the dweller is out of the house or not, an outdoor fan operation control means 5 for controlling an air distribution fan of an outdoor unit, the air distribution fan 6 of the outdoor unit, an infrared ray signal transmitting means 11 for transmitting a signal of an infrared ray remote controller from an indoor unit, a day and night detecting means 12 for detecting day and night, and a voice notifying means 10 for announcing a set content of the air conditioner. When outing is set by the outing mode setting means 4, only the air distribution fan 6 is operated even when the operation of the air conditioner is stopped, an indoor illuminating lamp is put on and off from the indoor unit by the infrared ray signal transmitting means 11 on the basis of a result of determination of day and night, and further any one of the set contents will be notified in voice by the voice notifying means 10, so that the impression that the dweller stays in the dwelling house, will be given to the intruder.
