Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum fin material for a heat exchanger, exerting excellent hydrophilicity and antibacterial activity without changing in quality by heating in baking and manufacturing the heat exchanger, and also to provide a heat exchanger using it. SOLUTION: This aluminum fin material 1 for the heat exchanger is composed of a base 2 composed of aluminum, and a hydrophilic coating film 3 formed on a surface of the base 2. The hydrophilic coating film 3 includes a substance having antibacterial activity (hereinafter called antibacterial agent 31), and has a film thickness of 0.5-2 μm. A content of the antibacterial agent 31 is 1-15 pts.wt when a weight of the total hydrophilic coating film 3 is 100 pts.wt. The antibacterial agent 31 includes silver, and has an average particle size less than the film thickness of the hydrophilic coating film 3.
