Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a catalyst component for polymerization having excellent characteristics in stereoregularity, and catalyst performances such as catalyst activity, and a method for producing an α-olefin polymer. SOLUTION: A solid catalyst component (A1) for polymerizing an α-olefin characterized by reacting a polymer silicon compound with a uniform dissolved solution composed of a magnesium compound, a titanium compound, and a specific aromatic compound, depositing the resultant material, and further treating the deposited material with a halogen compound is prepared. The solid catalyst component (A1) is further subjected to a contact treatment with a specific silicon compound, and an organoaluminum compound to prepare a solid catalyst component (A).
