Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope tester device enhancing the efficiency of a work for detecting any damage of a rope. SOLUTION: The rope tester device includes: a rope tester body 10 for magnetically detecting any damage of a rope 4 of an elevator; a driving means 9 which supports the rope tester body 10 and moves the rope tester body 10 to the detecting position or the waiting position; and a control unit 11 which controls the drive of the driving means 9, moves the rope tester body 10 to the detecting position, and detects any damage of the rope 4, and controls the drive of the driving means 9 after completing the detection of any damage of the rope 4, and moves the rope tester body 10 to the waiting position.
