DOCUMENT PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processing apparatus capable of displaying a list of images for a user to understand at a glance based on diagrams, charts, images and the like included in each document image, when the user selectively chooses one digitized document from a plurality of digitized documents. SOLUTION: A selection screen for document elements is displayed (step S311). If there is an instruction to select document elements, document elements are read from all files within a folder following the instruction to select document elements (step S313). The document elements included in a document image are extracted in accordance with thumbnail data, i.e., data on the document elements of each file.
