Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance light utilization efficiency when detecting an object, and to enhance an S/N ratio in the detection. SOLUTION: This display has a display part (liquid crystal panel 200), an illumination part (backlight 300), a plurality of light converging lenses 60A, and a plurality of photodetectors (photodiodes PD). The liquid crystal panel 200 has pixel areas with pixels (PIX) formed thereon and sensor areas with the photodiodes PD formed thereon. The light converging lenses 60A are formed respectively in portions of the liquid crystal panel 200 corresponding to the sensor areas, converge the light from the backlight 300 focused (FP) within the liquid crystal panel 200, to be transferred to the other face of the liquid crystal panel 200. The photodiodes PD are arranged in portions within the liquid crystal panel 200 corresponding to the respective sensor areas, and receive a light reflected in the other face side.
