EQUIPMENT CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment control device capable of minimizing economic loss when a first emergency earthquake quick report is erroneous. SOLUTION: This equipment control device includes: an earthquake quick report reception part 41 receiving an earthquake quick report including the estimated seismic intensity of the earthquake in the vicinity of an installation location of a control object; a P-wave detection part 42 detecting P-waves by the earthquake in the vicinity of the installation location of the control object; a processing start determination part 44 determining that a processing operation upon earthquake occurrence set for the control object is started when the earthquake quick report is received and P-waves are detected for the control object requiring certainty of the earthquake quick report, and at an earlier point within a point at which the earthquake quick report is received or a point at which the P-waves are detected for a control object without requiring certainty of the earthquake quick report; and a control signal generation part 45 generating a control signal including an execution instruction of the processing operation upon earthquake occurrence to a control object to which the start of the processing operation has been determined by the processing start determination part 44.
