Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail easy to grip regardless of physique difference of children, the aged, grownups, men and women because it is easy to put the fingertips thereon excluding the thumb and to put force into the fingertips excluding the thumb. SOLUTION: The handrail 5 having a wide cross section is formed with an upper face 7 inclining downward from one side face side to be the thumb F1 side when gripped toward the other side face side to be the little finger F2 side, wherein the vertical thickness H1 on the other side face side is thinner than the vertical thickness H2 on one side face side, and one side face 9 and a lower face 13 of the other side face side are provided with recesses 21, 25 along a longitudinal direction.
