Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a construction method for making a manhole connecting section of an existing pipe aseismic, which makes workability good, which eliminates the risk of damaging a buried object such as an underground cable and a buried pipe for various fluids, existing in close vicinity to a peripheral wall of the manhole around the peripheral wall, and which can make the manhole connecting section of the existing pipe aseismic without affecting the strength of the manhole. SOLUTION: This construction method for making the manhole connecting section of the existing pipe aseismic applies earthquake resistance to the manhole connecting section 6 of the existing pipe, in which the existing pipe 2 is fitted and connected to the pipe hole 5 of the peripheral wall 4 of the manhole 3. The construction method comprises: a step of cutting the existing pipe 2, fitted into the pipe hole 5 of the peripheral wall 4 of the manhole 3, in a position not to go over an outer peripheral wall surface 9 of the peripheral wall 4 in the vicinity of the outer peripheral wall surface 9; a step of arranging a lining pipe 10 inside the existing pipe 2; a step of removing a cut leading end 2a of the existing pipe 2, fitted into the pipe hole 5 of the peripheral wall 4 of the manhole 3, from the pipe hole 5, after arranging the lining pipe 10 inside the existing pipe 2; and a step of providing an elastically deformable elastic cutoff tubular portion 14 in a void formed by removing the leading end 2a of the existing pipe from the pipe hole 5.
